We welcome new students who are serious about developing themselves in the discipline of taijiquan, the martial art. There are many health and mental benefits associated with a good taijiquan practice, including balance, focus, a more sophisticated awareness of the self and surroundings, and a more subtle self-control of the body and mind. You can find many articles which describe the medical health benefits which happen to be a natural side-effect of the practice. It is not a cure-all. It is, however, a life long discipline which can transform you in one way or another. It is an art which requires perseverance, patience, time, and effort. We encourage you to try it. You will be guided with care through the steps and movements and your postures will be groomed as you progress over time.
These classes are NEW for BEGINNERS only. Your first class is FREE and there is no obligation to sign up. Just try it. Bring a friend or come alone. Please arrive at least ten minutes before class to sign the waiver and settle in. We look forward to meeting with you!
